When I first saw how Chad & Karlie were together, I just knew they were the real deal. Karlie is sweet, genuine, and such a calm spirit. Chad is warm, humble, and more than anything else – so incredibly loving towards Karlie. When I shot their vineyard engagement session last summer, I could see how crazy in love they were with each other and it was inspiring. Their wedding day was no different, and I was so happy to be a part of such an incredible love-filled day.
A mansion. Matching sunnies. Adorable bridesmaid dresses. A first look with an audience watching from above. Portraits in the forest. A bouquet wrapped in lace from wedding dresses past. Goats on the roof. Vodka lemonade. A crafty bride and her equally crafty mother (a common refrain: “Karlie & Laura made that.”) The most delicious never-ending meal that ever was served (I lost count of how many courses there were… five? six? Oh my goodness, so much yum). The sweetest parent dances imaginable. Me with my camera glued to my face to hide the fact that I’m ugly crying. Lanterns. Rustic Italian romance at it’s best. Love.
Heaps and heaps of love.
Chad & Karlie, it was an honour. Thank you for having me.
