Mt. Washington is definitely way way up on the list when it comes to Vancouver Island wedding venues. Not only does this gem provide a stunning ceremony backdrop, but it also has the Raven Lodge – a space that feels naturally romantic and cozy – perfectly suited for rustic style receptions. So, it comes as no surprise that Trevor + Laura’s nuptials were jaw-dropingly gorgeous. To say the least. The intense rain storm that day was a little unexpected, and probably not what anyone expected in the middle of the summer. T+L took it all in stride and with minutes to spare the rain stopped allowing them to go ahead with their outdoor ceremony, as planned. Only a few small drops fell, until the very moment they were announced as Mr + Mrs, when it started to pour down again. Such perfect timing.
When it came to the details, Laura found (and crafted) thoughtful pieces to incorporate throughout the day. Everything blended seamlessly with the delicately understated florals and touches of blue, gold and wood.
While the details were perfect, the love between this couple was even better. When Laura walked down the aisle, Trevor was in tears. It was one of the sweetest, most heartfelt moments I’ve ever had the honor of photographing and that moment alone speaks volumes to their love.
